Cindi has been a Developmental Specialist for our Day Habilitation program (and also a per-diem driver!) at TCI for over two years, and in her time here she consistently exhibits the traits that we would like to see in all TCI staff- Having a positive attitude and being a Team player, going above and beyond to serve our Members, is adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of the program, is a good spokesperson for TCI, is innovative and creative and is a great role model for Members and TCI staff..
Cindi was someone who came into TCI with no Human Service experience and caught on to her role quickly and enthusiastically. She was eager to learn about our Members and what we do for them each day. From day one, she has been a big advocate for her Members and tried new things; from going to the movies to different museums on Cape Cod to helping advocate for our recent YMCA membership. She is a person who can’t sit still, which is really great for helping members reach their personal goals. Even when Cindi was out last summer for medical leave, our Day Hab Manager received weekly emails about new things happening on Cape for Members to participate in. Cindi is a person who thinks on her feet and is always able to adapt to the needs around her. She even posts daily on her own social media, “view from my office” in hopes of gaining not only more followers for TCI social media, but also potentially recruiting new staff. Cindi is used regularly to train new staff, as she is the type of person who we hope to see all Developmental Specialists aspire to be. We are so proud to have Cindi on the TCI Team!
